Then Second Minister for Finance, Miss Lim stated that government ministries should not turn away vendors simply because their prices slightly deviate from the market average i.e. not the cheapest. To reinforce the point, she mentioned that there was no ’empirical evidence’ tying under-performance to vendors who provided the cheapest prices.
